“I’ve only been there once (1 day to be exact), but it feels as if I was born in Brooklyn. I know more about BK than I know about my own city, Brussels. I know Brooklyn’s neighbourhoods, its expressions, its hometown heroes ... all because of Hip-Hop. Although Brooklyn is not the birthplace of Hip-Hop (shout out to the Bronx!), it sure is one of its loudest ambassadors. When I was asked by Brooklyn Radio to do a guest mix, it was only right to pay tribute to the borough they’re named after. “Big up to Brooklyn” is a collage of my favorite tracks, interview quotes and movie scenes ... 100% Brooklyn.
