I won’t lie—the Fresh Taste shows aren’t quite as fresh as they used to be. When I first started sharing those mixes on Brooklyn Radio 10 years ago, they came out monthly, and most of the music I played had just been released or reissued the month before (sometimes not even released yet!). Now, I’m lucky if I can put out 4 or 5 shows a year, and some of the music's over a year or two old (maybe more!). Family, work, multiple music projects (like 30th anniversary and Mr Dan digs on BK Radio)—basically, life has taken over.

But with show #100 on the horizon, I feel like I can’t stop now. Good music is good music, right? Honestly, I’m still addicted to discovering new tracks, and I get the same rush every time I hit play on something I love. So, I’ll keep sharing what I find, whenever I can.

Whatever’s changed over the years, I hope listeners still enjoy the final product when a new Fresh Taste mix drops.
