25 Years of NEW FUNK 45s - DJ Skeg

To celebrate our 25th anniversary Skeg really enjoyed putting together this mix of a selection of the best “New Funk 45s” that came out in the last 25 years.
When we say new funk we’re talking about funk made since the late 90’s by bands, producers and labels that were celebrating the funk sound from the 70’s but re-imagining it for the millennial generation. Vintage sounds played in a new way by artists who maybe only got to know about funk from checking all the samples used by hip hop artists.
Skeg has dug deep to dig out a selection of new Funk 45s that best represents the labels, artists and sounds that made the New Funk scene a great time in which to be a record collector!
