His approach is cerebral, kinetic, drawing on the minimal complexities of Villalobos and the driving immersion of Freddy K. and On the other side, Hamza, who looked toward the authentic club sounds of New York and London while the world was looking elsewhere, the architect of the "organically-charged groove". Through his Wind Horse label and his celebrated 'Banjara' series, he has spent a lifetime weaving global rhythms and tribal-flecked funk into house music.
