HOOPALAï comprises Lebaron & Pfreud, two Canadian artists hailing from Montreal. Back in the 90's, François Lebaron, a young rave promoter, label owner and DJ, was a usual client at Montreal's legendary DNA Records store (owned by Tiga), where Frédéric Laurier (aka DJ Pfreud) was co-manager and music curator. The friendship quickly took flight! Many years later, in 2015, after countless studio sessions and shows, their first release as Hoopalaï came out on Canadian imprint, Imagine Records. It received solid reviews and was subsequently charted by the iconic Felix Da Housecat, in his Crosstown Rebels "Top 10 Chart".
