I always feel that part of my role as a singer is to connect with the audience, see them connecting with each other, and wrap that experience up with as much love as possible. As such, most of the songs that I write and/or perform entail a love aspect (hence the name of this show). In a conversation with a friend the other day, he reminded me that not all songs are about love. Some are about activism, protest, finding calm in the midst of chaos and challenging times. This episode is dedicated to the artists who use music to portray these sentiments. You’ll hear music from Aysanabee, Marvin Gaye, Sarah McLachlan and aptly, Prince. If anger is what fuels healthy activism and connection with like-minds, remember to love yourself and others, and listen to great music!
