Richie Hawtin is an electronic music icon and this year he headlines a brand new Bestival stage, the Port with a set not to be missed on a stage that will redefine possibilities at music festivals anywhere in the world. It feels natural that Richie, as a long-time and committed innovator, should headline this particular stage at Bestival on Friday night.

This mix, in his ‘Fragments’ series, was recorded live recently from his debut tour of South Africa at the socially conscious event by non-profit organization Bridges for Music. Bridges for Music sees electronic music as a force for positive social change among South African youth and as an ambassador, Hawtin joined local talent for electronic music workshops and master classes in Soweto and Guguletho.

The mix showcases the ongoing journey through electronic music of a man who continues to represent the pinnacle of future sounds.
