Bestimix 22: The Correspondents

As any of you who’ve spent the night breaking sweat at Come Dancing in our beautiful Spiegeltent at Bestival or Camp Bestival can attest, we’re partial to the odd spot of hip-swinging, retro-flavoured big band swing, jazz and be-bop, which is why we’re stoked to bring you the latest installment in our exclusive mix series, a celebration of all that ol’ time good stuff by The Correspondents.

A “journey through swing, jazz, 50’s R&B, be-bop, nu-soul, electro swing, hip-hop and chap-hop” courtesy of MC Mr Bruce and DJ/producer Mr Chuckles, Bestimix 22 splices swing samples with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops to make for a head-nodding, foot-tapping toe curling "get your brogues on" dance floor swing hop.
