"Being a collector rather than a DJ leaves so many more options open when it comes to enjoying & embracing Soul music. Being lucky enough to be asked to play at a few events each year means that there's an opportunity to play outside the more usually heard tunes, & with the European parties particularly, there is an openness & appreciation that is sadly not always evident here in the UK.
Since moving to Bristol about 15 months ago, & along with Ben Summers, we've set up 'Seriously Soulful' were 4 times a year we try to cover the whole spectrum of Soul from 'sweet & deep' to mid tempo, modern, crossover & a touch of northern too . . . !
