Taking on the title of “DJ” at the tender age of 15, this tastemaker has been a working member of the music and Hip Hop community and a renowned record collector for more than 20 years. First collecting Rap music and then through Rap’s influence, Otto developed a well-informed and well-rounded musical knowledge. His vast musical tastes have led to his inclusion in a variety of specialized Dj nights, including the national team of 45 RPM Djs known as Hot Peas & Butta. His talents on the turntables have garnered him the respect of his peers as well as nominations for many local music awards between the Twin Cities and his native city of Seattle. In the Twin Cities Otto has played a variety of venues and filled many hats as a Dj, including work on stage providing sound cues for the live sketch comedy troupe, The Entertainment Machine as well as the recent Hip Hop at the Cowles Center for Dance.
