DJ, radio show host and manager of Willwork4funk promo agency Calamity Jade has slowly but steadily been carving herself a prominent space in the emerging Italian funk scene. From spinning in staple clubs of Italy's funk/soul circuit, to guesting in clubnights abroad for International acts such as Konkoma (Ghana/UK), The Mighty Mocambos (DE), Lefties Soul Connection (NL), Parish Smith (EMPD – NYC) or Yarah Bravo (UK). In 2012 Jade founded music promotion agency Willwork4funk, specialized in funk, soul, jazz, afro & breaks, through which she has collaborated with labels such as Légère, Mocambo, Breakin Bread or Jalapeno and worked with artists like The New Mastersounds, Smoove, The Impellers and Bahama Soul Club, just to name a few. Since 2013 Calamity Jade hosts radio show "Funk Shui" on Radio Popolare and Controradio, which focuses on contemporary funk & soul.
