Ben Shulman is Montreal's leading Soul/R&B DJ. He's been in to soul music his entire life, collecting records since childhood, and DJ'ing since the moment he was allowed in to clubs at the age of 18... He's 21 now! This young fella travels around Canada and the U.S. digging deep for the best tracks you've never heard of. His preferred sound is anything really dirty, raw, trashy, and gritty. He appreciates a good clean-cut northern soul tune, but ideally it's the funkier rhythm and blues stuff that gets him rockin'. When Ben is behind the decks, expect a rowdy soulful party stock-full of sweatin' and shoutin'. He spearheads two nights in Montreal, Mod Club Montreal and Mess Around. Ben also operates an independent record label called Papa Bill Records, where he writes and produces 7" singles.
