Self-serving bias refers to the tendency of individuals to attribute their successes to internal factors, such as their abilities or efforts, while attributing their failures to external factors, such as luck or circumstances beyond their control. In other words, people have a tendency to take credit for positive outcomes and distance themselves from negative outcomes.
