An oldie but goody from the vaults. Originally recorded for a CD to be given away at this one-off party in London organised by Steve Terry.
Whirlpool was the nickname we had given to Moonboots flat, so when Steve asked us both to come down to London and play for him it seemed like a fitting name for what was a very fun, but sadly never to be repeated party.
Was something of a gathering of the clans as I recall. As well as Oscar from Trax, it was the early days of DJ History, and lots of bods from the forum turned up, including Bill Brewster himself (obviously wanting some tips from Richard and I on how it’s done) and Chris Galloway and some of the other Soft Rocks.
Much fun was had and the CDs went very quickly if I recall. Richard got a bit grumpy about all the praise it was getting on the forum, so decided to do a Whirlpool mix himself too. He’s like that sometimes.
