Merry New year!
My first show of the 2023, so I decided I’d use it have a look back over some of my favourite releases of the last 12 months; yeah, I know, “how did you come up with such an original idea Mike?”. Piss off you lot!
Anyway, despite being an ongoing shit-show that made 2020 and 2021 look like some kind of ‘golden age’ despite the triple joys of Covid, lockdown, and cancer, 2022 still managed to produce some amazing music. I bought less than in previous years as we’re all a lot poorer aren’t we, which makes it harder to choose what to spend money in when there is just so much great music out there. But I think I bought wisely, so I’m hoping you’ll agree.
Got a bit longer to play with this week, and still couldn’t fit in everything I wanted to, and of course, but pretty pleased with the set of records I put together.
