In 2000, my sound was still driven by uptempo Progressive House and darker Trance. It was the progressive sound of then. Inspired by Sasha, John Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg, Quivver, or Humate, I was formulating my own style which reached out across the genres. I have submitted this mix to the now defunct URB Magazine for consideration in their monthly Mixx-It section - a showcase of the the top mixes submitted each month from DJ's from around the world. To my great surprise and a pleasant one no doubt, "Connect" received a very well written impression of the listening staff at the mag's offices. This was recorded live and from vinyl. Some surface noise can be heard but there is also a bit of static in some areas which is present on the only CD-R copy I own of this mix. My search for the original wave file proved fruitless. Well, as I used to say - Relax, crank it up, and enjoy!
