Description
WHAT? YES!
The opening section of the week's Duvet Rustling Jazz show is directly inspired by the incredible work of Richard Morton Jack, whose encyclopedic book "Labyrinth: British Jazz On Vinyl 1960-75" dropped this week with an almighty THUD. So, 45 minutes and more of unadulterated, unabridged and mikldly interrupted British Jazz! BOOM! Music from Quincicasm, Michael Garrick's Septet, Ian Carr's Nucleus, Stan Tracey (twice!), Arman Ratip, Michael Gibbs, Tubby Hayes and more.
There's also piles of new and soon-to-drop stuff from Mono Jazz / Right Tempo, from their ear-metling new comp "The Congregation", (stellar work from Rocco, Max, Vanja and co), Echo Chamber Recordings (cheers Si!), Jazz Room Records (cheers Paul Murphy) , Acid Jazz Records, ILL Considered, ATA Records, Andy Hay and more...!
