The process of creating these four mixes to be broadcast on four consecuative weeks got me thinking about what it would be like to be a resident DJ at a club, playing in front of a particular audience every week. If I was able to choose a venue for an imaginary residency it would be Berghain in Berlin. I love the venue and the concept and the musical freedom you have as a DJ. So, as impossible as it is to replicate in 30 minutes what I might play there in 4 or 5 or 6 hours I have tried to put together a snapshot of the sound of my imaginary weekly residency.
