When I say MMMBop, what do you think? At one point, you probably would’ve just thought I was having a stroke. But 15 years ago, three fresh-faced, long-haired teenagers from Oklahoma took the world by storm with their nonsensically titled hit single. That’s right, this week we’re discussing Hanson! We talk about the single, the phenomenon, and some other tracks from their 1997 album “Middle of Nowhere.” One of us loved Hanson. One of us had never even heard Hanson! Gabe’s pretty ambivalent. How did Hanson fit into the 90s world? Why are they writing songs about kids dying? And will Gabe’s thoughts on gender in modern society baffle you like it baffled me and Javier? Tune in and find out! And tune in quick, because in an MMMBop it’s gone!
