Northstar Sounds wholeheartedly and honestly explores the human experience at the boundaries of creative improvised music and composition.

North Star Sounds begins life on member-supported American public radio station Jazz90.1 in Rochester New York, but now has a home here on One Jazz. Curated and presented by Jon Greenbaum and Rick Petrie alternately, the artists they play have made significant commitments and sacrifices in their lives in order to create music that explores the outer limits of tonality.

Commercials are edited out but Jazz 90.1 jingles and references remain!
