Description
As we head into the hot summer months "Down Under" we bring you another 2 hours of crips biscuits and pre-loved favourites from Aotearoa / New Zealand and Australia.
There are three tracks from the excellent Earshift label out of Melbourne showcasing amazing new young talent on the scene, as well as a couple of new release jazz-funk tracks from veterans Nathan Haines and Mark de Clive-Lowe. The 1980's are represented by three NZ bands that were creating a loyal following and expanding the awareness of Aotearoa jazz across the world at the time, as well as a track percussion lead track from saxophonist / flutist Brian Smith. I'm especially excited to play a track by Auckland band "After Hours" who have been battling away on the scene for many years and release a track featuring UK vocalist and producer Omar.
