Gustavo Mezo & Efraín Alavez present: Contratiempo Radio (16 August 2026)

Contratiempo Radio is a monthly programme presented by Gustavo Mezo (Paris/Mexico) and Efraín Alavez (Mexico City/Mexico).
Broadcast from Mexico the show highlights music from Mexico, Latin America, and works — or artists — connected to the region through culture, collaboration, or creative influence, all within the broader landscape of contemporary jazz.

Each episode offers a curated journey through new releases, emerging voices, established artists and projects that blur boundaries between tradition and contemporary innovation. With context and storytelling provided by two hosts deeply rooted in the music, Contratiempo Radio becomes more than a playlist — it serves as a cultural bridge between Mexico, Latin America and the world.

Welcome to an hour of music without labels, selected with curiosity, passion, and a genuine commitment to the art.
