This thirteenth edition of the jazzahead! radio show looks back at some of the artists we featured during this year's edition of the trade fair and showcase festival in Bremen, Germany, and ahead to the next edition, as well as the upcoming German Jazz Prize - with new music from the Matti Klein Soul Trio, new Act-records signing daoud, vocalists Enji, Esther Kaiser and Uschi Brüning (the latter a hero of GDR-Jazz and the recipient of a lifetimne achievement award at the Jazz Prize), Haggai Cohen-Milo with a jazzed up "Lacrimosa", percussionist Max Adrzejewski with Ensembkle Resonanz and "Schwarm II", the Swedo-Scandinavian supergroup Cosmic Ear, a new trio by Ingrid Laubrock featuring Fay Victor and Mariel Roberts, plus Laubrock as a featured guest on Fabian Dudek's "Ice House Celebration".
