Fuse throws light on expressive artists who release music with a 'no rules' attitude, drawing on inspirations that are genuine and heartfelt. It's jazz that likes to bump up against the edges, touching on a myriad of genres be they traditional folk, electronica, chamber music or rave. There is a focus on new releases from Europe, as well as, Africa, America and Asia, but always makes room for classics that are as relevant today as ever.
It's festival season and Fuse plays music from artists appearing at festivals such as Montreux Jazz and We Out Here from Santana to Ganavya. There's a selection of African 7”singles from the 1970s plus new music from Led Bib and Frida Touray.
