Caro Fontanieu presents: The ECM Podcast - Vijay Iyer Trio: Compassion

The ECM Podcast brings listeners into conversation with the artists shaping today’s ECM sound. Each week, Caro Fontanieu sits down with an ECM musician to explore the ideas, processes and stories behind their latest release, offering an intimate look at the music beyond the recording.

In this episode Caro is once again joined by Vijay Iyer, whose album "Compassion" is the pianist's second outing with his trio of Linda May Han Oh on bass and drummer Tyshawn Sorey and was co-produced with Manfred Eicher.

Vijay talks about the state of the world, the bond created when making music in collaboration with others, album titles and compassion.
