It is no secret that Patrick knows nothing about jazz. But sometimes some jazz music catches his ear, and when it does it is often jazz music that sounds a bit psych-y. Psych Jazz should be a sub-genre, but it isn't, since the fat cats at Big Jazz is keeping it shut out. And to make it worse, Acid Jazz isn't anything like what you think it is. But there is some jazz music that I feel fits the feel of this show. Those songs usually land in the categories of Spiritual Jazz, Avant-Garde Jazz and Jazz Fusion. So here is a slew of songs that are almost psych songs but aren't really. Once again many of the artists have interest in a lot of the same topics that psych musicians do, here are many tunes about ancient times, space and spirituality.
