Two hours of randomly (sort of) selected tunes. While making episodes of Winter Light / Summer Heat I come across tons of songs that I think would be good to play on the air but do not fit in to a playlist I am currently working on. When this happens I file them away into miscellaneous playlists, one for psychedelic songs and one for folk, believing that some day I will return to them and incorporate them into a new playlist. These songs then exist in playlist limbo, some move on to be played on air, some are ultimately decided not good enough for air, and the majority just sit there for a long time. For this playlist I tried to exhume some songs from the psychedelic playlist by hitting the shuffle button and then sitting back and listening. Ones I heard and thought they were too good to not ever play, I stuck into this episode, once I had two hours worth of such songs I stopped.
