Description
La Sala de Ecos is a two-hour radio broadcast that reimagines an unrealised exhibition proposal as a listening experience, using radio as both gallery and communal space.
Inspired by the work of Beatriz González, the show explores how images, sound, and popular culture carry memory, grief, irony, and resistance. González’s practice rooted in Colombian history and shaped by mass media and political unrest becomes a starting point for a wider conversation about how we engage with art beyond institutional walls.
Moving between presenterled reflections and music from across the Latin diaspora, La Sala de Ecos traces themes of collective mourning, everyday life, power, and joy, treating radio itself as a space for stillness, attention, and shared listening.
The broadcast also includes a tribute to Willie Colón, honouring his legacy as a storyteller of migration, community, and political life through sound.
This is not an exhibition you walk through, it’s one you tune into.
