Techno Issues by MULATTO - 23/11/24 - [Voices Radio]

Electronic styles of music have always been rooted in underground movements, often being a platform or escape for the marginalised communities that birthed these movements. Techno Issues explores the modern context of social issues and Techno styles of music, while platforming underrepresented and underground DJs.

Each episode includes a brief introduction (less than 10 minutes) giving us common language to discuss social issues, and music theory followed by a DJ set. Drawing from their academic and lived expertise, MULATTO uses social theory to reflect on techno as a movement and underground art form.
