Teaching: Positives & Pitfalls w/ Tom Sippy - 06/03/23

I created this podcast because I feel that education has a huge range of issues which prevent actual relevant and contextual learning from taking place. I believe schools are now businesses and the entire ‘system’ has been overcomplicated. However, it is important to provide a balanced argument, hence including both positives and pitfalls. I also thought it was imperative that this was recorded in the midst of the strikes. I wanted teachers to have something to listen and relate to, but I also wanted those who aren’t in the profession to begin to empathise with those that are. In the same vein as other industries and sectors, teaching and education shouldn’t be in the state that it finds itself in.
