alya isha is a south-London soulstress, poet, producer and multi-instrumentalist, alya isha pioneers ‘Nu World Groove’: a high energy, hypnotic, fusion of global rhythms, drenched in liberatory lyricism.

Born and raised in Japan, moving to Tooting, London and then Santiago de Cuba before returning to Brixton; the British, Indian-Mauritian and Swiss artist takes inspiration from her roots.

Her first single ‘diaSpoRia’ was picked up by BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing and she’s about to drop the fiery music video to this banger, right after the healing Jungle Sessions: River Sounds, a live session in Mauritius, with some of the island’s most talented musicians, Sarah Honore and Moksha Beeharry.
