Jones’ World: feel the fire 03/05/24 - [Voices Radio]

The current zeitgeist is plagued by shorter and shorter attention spans and the need to be constantly entertained... but let it be positive stimuli per-lease! No one wants to wait around for you to tell a long-winded story, let alone if it isn’t a happy ending. The temptation is to go dancy and please the masses. With festival season coming up, we are all starting to prep our sets, & I personally am having to ground myself, trust myself & maintain my fire. That really is the only key to a successful set. All I can do is be me, play my intense dark shit & if you love it, great! If it’s too intense for you, great! Accepting that some people aren’t ready for darkness says more about said zeitgeist than the quality of the artists. I ain't about to fight that (lost) battle... I'd rather tell a story (this time inspired by fire) with my drumscapes in the hope that you’ll get lost in it with me <3
