Been sat down by the flu recently so I’m serving up courses of deep, textural and moody tech for my 25th Voices nighttime show.
I’d been wanting to record a mix in this style for a while, and was inspired by a couple of things. Years ago, Roza Terenzi had a mix called “zonked out stargazing” I listened to a lot and whilst this is on the slower side to that, the title has rung out in the memory all these years and have always associated those words with the kind of tunes in this mix, so this is my interpretation of that elegant description.
It’s a deep focus kind of mix but with healthy amounts of zaps and waps, lots of different textures and synths, and with bass, bumps and kicks falling nicely in the Goldilocks Zone.
