JONESES WORLD: Hold On Tight - 07/11/25 [Voices Radio]

It can be scary how quickly things can change. I started out my journey in electronic music making beatless tracks and mixes, inspired by the likes of Barker and Burial. As I’ve gotten more comfortable with my personal authenticity and self-expression, my sound has quickly followed suit. I reached a turning point when I realised that these artists already exist; the gap has been filled. As soon as I started asking myself “What does Sarah Jones make?”, a strange ambient-bass sound began to fly out of me in the studios and on the dancefloors. As I’ve stopped overthinking my idiosyncrasies, I have morphed into a version of myself I never expected. This session is inspired by change. End-to-end beats to reflect the constant evolution we undergo not just as artists, but as humans. Where does one beat start and another end? Where does one version of ourselves behind and the next end? So hold on tight and let me take you on a beautifully chaotic journey.
