Description
At rest, the desired heart rate for adults is between 60 to 100 BPM, whereas in the club, the desired BPM is usually above 120. My fascination with the club scene stems from a fascination with human tolerance. How do we manage to tolerate and enjoy an acceleration in heart rate that would otherwise be considered cause for concern? How is the DJ able to manipulate the rhythms of the human body with music? For me, the higher my own heart rate is, the lower BPMs I play in an attempt to bring myself back down to a stable rhythm. Fortunately, as I spend more time in the UK and connect to my roots, anxiety is at bay and playfulness is at the forefront of my life. I bring you my fastest, most British, bassiest, drum-heavy session at 135 BPMs to get you pumping and skanking. Can you handle it?
