Description
According to Alan Fridlund, the only thing certain in the emotion field is that no one agrees on how to define emotion. Thus, music that is composed from emotion must be undefinable too. Yet, the question of genre and style is omnipresent in any club, scene, or session. What if our essence is not meant to be defined but experienced? The low frequencies, the vibrations, the grimy, the gritty, the indecipherable, indescribable, chest opening, surprising. That's the way I like my emotions, my music and my DJ sets. Not tucked away in neat, labelled boxes. Some call it ambient, some call it bass, some call it soothing, some call it shit. I call it howfuckimfeelingthatday, because my emotions, like me, are yet TBD.
