A DJ, producer, and philosophy graduate, triximo came to DJing slowly and against considerable internal resistance. After losing her dad in March 2020, just before the first UK lockdown, what followed was long, messy and not the transformation story you might expect.
They talk about the origin of her artist name, years of imposter syndrome among world-class DJs, and what personal change actually looks like day to day. They also connect some dots between grief and creativity, and question whether there's space in club culture for a night where the music is the only thing you need to get lost in.
Around 45 minutes in, the conversation unfolds. Before that, Paperplane sets the tone with warm, breezy, at times moody, deep house. Then triximo takes over with a slower, more introspective mix. Different to what she normally plays but just as captivating.
