This month we have the return of ‘3 from’ the fruits of me begging a producer to tell me 3 favourites, a current favourite, an all time favourite and one of their own. I’ve managed to snag ‘Scotland’s most unlikely popstar’ (Scottish Herald’s words, not mine) and Exemplary Earthling, Tony Morris.
Morris has recently come to the fore performing for and releasing on Glasgow’s Optimo records as well as regularly posting avant garde music on Bandcamp, with captivating performance videos on his social media. To say that he falls somewhere between Ivor Cutlor, Leonard Cohen, Steve Reich and Frankie Knuckles, doesn’t do the man justice, but that’s the best I’ve got right now.
