Next from the @ourheartbeatsdjs is Miss Yamete Ahh~ being trans in Singapore was horrific and traumatic. Thinking about music from my culture brought me anxiety and heartbreak. So I looked for music and remixes from Singaporean memes and funny videos because those were the only thing that reminded me of good times with my friends @leeroslan and @dohnmayer in poly, which were one of the most enjoyable times in my life. I realised that culture can also be about the people who love and embrace you. So I also played brain rot floptropica and cupcakke remixes that are quite queer-core. These music also makes me laugh and is my coping mechanism through the genocides happening in Palestine, Congo and Sudan. I acknowledge my privilege in a safe western country and that’s why I also have to advocate against oppression through my music whenever I can. So Free Free Palestine, Congo, Sudan!
