Colours & Soul is the new cosmic downtempo show on the Voices daybreak schedule from host and selector Floored Capri. Featuring fresh drops from Nightmares on Wax & Adrian Sherwood (Warp), the prolific Slovak producer Isobutane (Termina), Brighton/Jersey duo Kyla Kilzer & Max Noir (Tru Thoughts) and Kokoroko (Brownswood) with a live-to-vinyl cut from their recent Record Store Day release.
Other highlights this month include an exceptional record from Brazilian collective Alter Disco which came out last year and reimagines percussionist Marco Bosco’s groundbreaking 1983 album, a work that fused Brazilian percussion traditions with the emerging language of electronic music. As well as Los Angeles-based guitarist, producer, and speech-language pathologist Go Yama, whose latest album Rumi blends electronic ambient textures with jazz and is inspired by a children’s story he created to rekindle wonder and imagination in an overstimulated age.
