From the aftermath of the Notting Hill Race Riots to present day, Notting Hill Carnival is not only a celebration of Caribbean culture and heritage, but a reminder of the resilience in the face of cultural division. Carnival also reminds us to acknowledge the contributions from the Windrush generation, their descendants, and the imprints we see in present day.
