Après Effex is the performance name and electronic musical project of San Francisco-based independent filmmaker & audiovisual artist, Luis Perez-Casasola. Focused on left-field electronic production, film scoring, sound design, and audiovisual art, this alias is used to streamline and release ambient, textural, and anthemic projects. During his conceptual mixes, Après Effex focuses on bringing listeners on a journey towards self-discovery while playing music within the realms of IDM, textural techno, microhouse, and leftfield electronica. As another form of storytelling, Après Effex hopes to translate his love for the ever-evolving club scene, hi-fi sound system culture, electronica, and the fascination for technology.
