Description
Ali Asfour is a Palestinian analog film photographer based between Ramallah and Amman. His work moves through themes of displacement, identity, and resistance, capturing the textures of Palestinian life with an intimacy that refuses erasure. Working with film allows him to slow down, insist on presence, and protect what is constantly threatened with disappearance. Through cinematic framing and attention to everyday moments, he evokes longing not as nostalgia but as a political act—one that remembers, reclaims, and imagines beyond imposed borders.
In his words: “This mix is my current orbit—what I’m drawn to, what I’m haunted by, what’s building a landscape inside me. A small offering from the region that raised me, to the mornings that need gentleness and clarity and a reminder that even quiet music can resist, insist, and stay.”
