For this special FOTB mix, I’ve done something a little different. This mix is inspired by DJ Tiësto’s recent Dreamstate live set. I felt that Tiësto was trying to cover the past, present and future of trance music, in one set. This got me thinking - what would I play if I was invited to play Dreamstate with that remit? I also wanted to work within the confines of my FOTB sets, so I've decided I would force myself to pick only five tracks. This mix is the result, and I've decided to play one track from the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s and 2025 in sequential order. I also wanted to go for tracks that are perhaps less obvious. So here we go - this is a full-on, 138BPM, peak-time trance set. I enjoyed putting this together, and I hope that you enjoy listening to it. Please feel free to tell me what you'd have chosen!
