Esper's set at Landed Festival '25 for The DnB Takeover in The Skeleton Kru Tent.
Esper first got into Jungle when he was 12, buying a Moving Shadow sampler that introduced him to Jungle DnB. He was captivated by the hard and dark techstep sounds of Dom & Roland leading him to discover Technical Itch, Stakka & Skynet, Renegade Hardware, Emotif and The No U Turn crew.
At 16, Esper was gifted a Numark TT1650 Dj set up by his parents, progressed to Vestax PDX-2000 and went digital with a Pioneer XDJ-RX2 which he still uses. His DJ influences include Goldie, Bailey, Loxy, Fierce, DJ Trace, Doc Scott, Dieselboy, LTJ Bukem, DJ Clarky, Kemistry & Storm, Ratty & Tim Reaper.
When it comes to the beats he selects, it’s all about that authentic drum & bass sound: weighty, funk-filled, true-to-the-craft bass, breaks and beats!
