These are some of my favourite funk, soul and reggae records I've bought during the pandemic.
The earliest one I bought was Leontine Dupree-Waiting for My Baby, which I bought one day into the 1st lockdown and the latest I bought is Deacon John-You Don't Know How To Turn Me On.
If I was at a gig and someone was playing any of these tunes, I’d be all over every track either Shazaming or trying to find out what the DJ was playing. (Sorry yes I’m that guy !).
As they were all bought so recently I can confidently tell you to put this mix together cost me £214.99 (including VAT but not postage), which considering the cost of some 45s is pretty cheap. The oldest 45 is Inez & Charlie Foxx-My Momma Told Me (1965), the newest is Perkie & The Co-operators-Concrete, Steel & Stone.
