'True story: I used to HATE playing 45s. But after discovering Dr Suzuki slipmats and Def Jam weights, I simply haven't stopped buying and spinning them.

I’m obsessed with the UK’s Summer of Love era — that explosive 1988–92 moment when breakbeat rave, early jungle, and the seeds of Britpop collided in a glorious, genre-bending mess. Hip Hop was evolving fast, fusing funk, house, and attitude into something global. Acidic guitar riffs tangled with scratching turntables, and entire tracks were stitched together from dusty cartoons and oddball film samples.
