The Forty Five Kings Collective Present Abe Twist's 'Heavy On The Funk' 7" Mix 2024

Welcome to the 2nd member mix from Abe Twist out of Tilberg, Netherlands.

It's also our last mix for ‘24, so thank you for supporting our mixes this year.

Abe says: 'I did a mix for the Forty Five Kings Collective back in late 2023 and it was much more of an eclectic 7" vinyl session.

This time I wanted to do a set that was heavy on the funk, because funk is what I started out with, as a dj. I grabbed some of my favourite funk 7inches (and some new ones) and just played them in an order that was determined as I was playing.

I'm not the most technical dj (I rarely beatmatch when it's organic/analog music, I'm not a scratch dj and I mostly mix on the one when I play funk/soul-tracks. I try to let the music speak for itself.)
