Soul Cool Records/ DJEJP - Don't Lay That Funky Trip

@DJEJP has been sharing the funkiest grooves he can find in the greater Portland area for years and has recently created a slew of special series just for Mixcloud. The goal is to transport the listener to a time when funk dominated the airwaves and filled one with soul power. The approach involves curating one continuous experience, similar to listening to a podcast or watching a television show, with an emotional arc and subtle plays on theme. It's music for people who love music. Yet while the shows are designed to reward close listening (preferably with headphones and the lights out), they’re also designed for maximum danceability in the kitchen and/or grooving in the car.
