This month on Socbites – your favourite sociology radio show – we talk music and memory. We discuss Ed Sheeran's nostalgia for his idyllic countryside youth; Sufjan Stevens' musical memorial to his mother; and Eric Bogle's waltzing ANZAC counter-memories. University of Melbourne students share which three songs they would put on the mixtape of their lives. Dr Ben Gook sheds light on the Berlin rave scene and German national memory. And Geoffrey confesses his ambivalent feelings for Lana Del Rey.
